Aim & Scope
The Journal of Ethics in Emerging Technologies & Society (JEETS) is a peer-reviewed, open-access journal that examines the ethical questions raised by new and transformative technologies, including artificial intelligence, genetic engineering, neurotechnology, advanced pharmacology, robotics and nanotechnology.
JEETS is a place for careful argument. We publish philosophical analysis, empirical work on public attitudes and practice, and policy studies that ask not only what these technologies can do but what they should do, and for whom. Authors from philosophy, law, the social sciences, medicine and engineering are equally welcome.
Scope
We welcome original research articles, reviews, short communications and case-based studies in areas including:
- Ethics of artificial intelligence and robotics
- Human enhancement, bio-enhancement and moral enhancement
- Ethics of genetic engineering and biotechnology
- Neuroethics and neurotechnology
- Technology, work and employment
- Risk assessment and governance of emerging technologies
- Personal identity, autonomy and the digital self
- Religion, culture and the philosophy of technology
