Peer Review Policy

Peer Review Policy for the Journal of Generative Intelligence

The Journal of Generative Intelligence (JGI) upholds a rigorous and transparent peer review process to ensure the publication of high-quality, scientifically valid, and ethically sound research. The policy fosters fairness, impartiality, and confidentiality throughout the review lifecycle.

Review Process:

  • Double-Blind Review: Both authors and reviewers remain anonymous to each other to minimize bias and maintain objectivity.

  • Reviewer Selection: Reviewers are selected based on their expertise relevant to the manuscript’s topic to provide knowledgeable and unbiased evaluations.

  • Evaluation Criteria: Manuscripts are assessed on originality, scientific rigor, ethical compliance, clarity, significance, and relevance to generative intelligence.

  • Timeliness: Reviewers are encouraged to provide feedback within a stipulated timeframe to maintain efficient editorial processing.

Confidentiality:

  • Manuscripts and reviewer comments are treated as confidential documents and are not shared with unauthorized persons.

  • Reviewers must not use any information gained through the review process for personal advantage.

Conflicts of Interest:

  • Reviewers and editors must declare any conflicts of interest and recuse themselves from reviewing or handling manuscripts where such conflicts exist.

Author Communication:

  • Reviewer comments and editorial decisions are communicated transparently to authors.

  • Authors receive constructive feedback to improve their manuscripts and are expected to respond appropriately during revision.

Editorial Decision:

  • Final publication decisions are made by the editorial board based on reviewer recommendations, manuscript quality, and fit with the journal’s scope.

  • The journal may reject papers without external review if they do not meet basic criteria.

Integrity Measures:

  • The journal may use plagiarism detection software and monitor ethical compliance to prevent misconduct.

  • Appeals and complaints related to the review process are handled transparently and fairly.

By implementing this peer review policy, JGI aims to uphold academic excellence while fostering a supportive and ethical scholarly environment for advancing generative intelligence research.
