About the Journal

AI Governance and Society Journal (AIGSJ) is a peer-reviewed, open-access journal on how artificial intelligence is governed and how it reshapes the societies that adopt it. We publish work on regulation, accountability, transparency, bias, privacy, intellectual property and misinformation, and on the institutions that are trying, often in real time, to keep up with fast-moving systems such as generative AI.

The journal is deliberately multidisciplinary. Lawyers, political scientists, computer scientists, ethicists and practitioners all write for it, and we value papers that move between theory and practice: an empirical study of how a rule is actually applied is as welcome as a new governance framework, provided it helps readers understand what works and why.
