Publication Ethics
This Journal of Circular Economy Innovations adheres to the highest standards of ethical publishing. We are committed to maintaining the integrity and transparency of the academic publishing process, ensuring compliance with ethical standards, and upholding the principles of scientific research. Below are the key points of our publication ethics and misconduct policy:
1. Authorship
-
Criteria for authorship: Authors should meet the following criteria to be listed as authors:
-
Conception and design of the work; or the acquisition, analysis, or interpretation of data for the work.
-
Drafting the work or revising it critically for important intellectual content.
-
Final approval of the version to be published.
-
Agreement to be accountable for all aspects of the work in ensuring that questions related to the accuracy or integrity of any part of the work are appropriately investigated and resolved.
-
-
Acknowledgement of contributions: Non-author contributors, including technical support or data analysis, should be acknowledged in the manuscript.
2. Plagiarism and Ethical Issues
-
Plagiarism: Plagiarism, including self-plagiarism, is not tolerated. Any form of plagiarism or inappropriate use of someone else's work is considered unethical.
-
Detection: All submitted manuscripts undergo plagiarism checks using recognized plagiarism detection software.
-
Consequences: Any manuscript found to contain plagiarized material will be rejected immediately, and the corresponding author will be notified of the issue.
3. Conflict of Interest
-
Authors’ Responsibility: Authors must disclose any potential conflicts of interest that could influence the results or interpretation of their research. This includes financial support, personal relationships, or professional affiliations.
-
Reviewers’ Responsibility: Reviewers should inform the editor of any conflicts of interest regarding the manuscript under review. Reviewers must recuse themselves from reviewing manuscripts where conflicts exist.
4. Peer Review Process
-
Transparency: All manuscripts submitted to the journal undergo a double-blind peer review process. Reviewers are selected based on their expertise and objectivity in the field of the manuscript.
-
Fairness: Reviewers are expected to evaluate the quality of the research objectively, without bias or personal judgment.
5. Publication and Redundant Publication
-
Originality: Manuscripts submitted for publication must be original and must not have been published or simultaneously submitted for publication elsewhere.
-
Multiple Submission: Authors should not submit the same manuscript to multiple journals concurrently. Manuscripts that are found to have been submitted to more than one journal will be rejected immediately.
6. Corrections, Retractions, and Clarifications
-
Corrections: If an error is discovered in a published article, the journal will correct the article and update the online version with a correction notice.
-
Retraction: Articles found to contain serious errors or falsified data will be retracted. A retraction notice will be issued, and the article will be marked as retracted in the journal.
-
Clarification: If necessary, an erratum or clarification notice will be published to address minor errors in the content that do not affect the scientific findings.
7. Handling of Research Misconduct
-
Responsibility: The journal is committed to investigating any allegations of research misconduct, including but not limited to falsification, fabrication, and unethical research practices.
-
Investigation: Any claims of misconduct will be thoroughly investigated according to the journal's guidelines. If evidence of misconduct is found, the author(s) will be notified, and appropriate action will be taken, which may include rejection of the manuscript or retraction of a published article.
-
Reporting: Any unethical behavior discovered by authors, reviewers, or editors must be reported to the editorial team.
8. Ethical Use of Data
-
Data Availability: Authors are encouraged to provide their data for public access when possible. Data should be presented clearly, transparently, and in line with ethical guidelines regarding privacy and consent.
-
Confidentiality: Personal data of research participants must be kept confidential, and informed consent must be obtained for all studies involving human participants.
