The intersection of artificial intelligence (AI) and data privacy has become a focal point for ethical concerns in the digital age. As AI technologies rapidly evolve, they pose significant challenges to personal data privacy, security, and autonomy. The collection, processing, and use of personal data by AI systems raise questions about informed consent, data protection, and accountability. This paper explores the ethical implications of AI in relation to data privacy, examining the risks and benefits of AI-driven data collection, the ethical frameworks for protecting individual rights, and the regulatory measures needed to ensure responsible AI development. By reviewing case studies, current ethical guidelines, and emerging privacy laws, the paper discusses the tension between technological innovation and the preservation of fundamental rights in a digitally connected world. The study concludes with recommendations for policymakers and AI developers to integrate ethical principles and privacy protection into AI technologies and design responsible systems that safeguard individuals’ personal data while fostering innovation.
