The Journal of Responsible AI & Ethics (JRAIE) is committed to supporting the long-term accessibility, integrity, and preservation of its published scholarly content. The journal recognizes that responsible scholarly publishing requires appropriate measures to reduce the risk of content loss and to maintain access to the scholarly record.

Digital Preservation

The journal uses digital preservation arrangements available through its Open Journal Systems (OJS) publishing platform and identifies implemented preservation mechanisms where applicable.

PKP Preservation Network (PKP PN)

The journal participates in preservation arrangements provided through the Public Knowledge Project Preservation Network (PKP PN) through its Open Journal Systems (OJS) platform.

Status: Enabled

Content successfully deposited and accepted into the preservation network is preserved according to the technical infrastructure and preservation practices of PKP PN.

LOCKSS (Lots of Copies Keep Stuff Safe)

The journal provides a public LOCKSS publisher manifest that enables participating LOCKSS systems to collect, preserve, and serve eligible journal archival content.

Content Integrity

The journal is committed to maintaining the integrity of the published record.

The journal ensures that:

  • Published articles remain unchanged after publication except through formally documented corrections, updates, expressions of concern, or retractions.

  • Any modifications to the published record are transparently identified and linked with the original publication.

Backup and Technical Security

The journal platform maintains appropriate technical backup and recovery practices to support website availability, data security, and operational continuity.

Technical backups and preservation services serve different purposes; website backups support operational recovery, while digital preservation mechanisms support long-term accessibility of scholarly content.

Policy Transparency

Information regarding archiving and preservation practices is publicly available to provide transparency for authors, reviewers, readers, and scholarly indexing organizations.

The journal periodically reviews its preservation arrangements to ensure that publicly available information remains accurate and consistent with implemented services.
