The integration of Artificial Intelligence (AI) into decision-making processes presents both opportunities and challenges in a wide range of sectors, including healthcare, finance, law enforcement, and more. As AI systems become increasingly sophisticated, their role in ethical decision-making is being critically examined. This paper explores the evolving collaboration between humans and AI in making ethical decisions, focusing on how AI can augment human judgment, provide objective analysis, and support decision-making without undermining the human element of empathy, intuition, and moral reasoning. The study examines the ethical challenges associated with AI's involvement in decision-making, including issues of bias, accountability, and transparency. Through a review of literature, empirical data, case studies, and theoretical analysis, this paper seeks to understand how AI systems can be designed to complement human decision-making in a manner that aligns with ethical principles. The findings suggest that while AI has the potential to assist in making more informed and impartial decisions, careful attention must be given to the potential ethical risks of relying too heavily on AI systems in moral contexts. The paper concludes with recommendations for developing responsible AI systems that collaborate effectively with humans while ensuring fairness, accountability, and transparency in decision-making.
